Andrea + Kevin – Fore Lakes

May 24th is almost June, right?  It didn’t feel like it with low temperatures and wind that froze us all.  We even heard it was snowing in the Port Huron area that morning.  The ceremony had to be moved inside but it all turned out lovely. Andrea and Kevin were so happy, smiling all day.  We were glad to be a part of it.  Here’s a short glimpse, we have so much great footage for their ‘Movie’ to come. :)

Caitlyn + Jason – Glen Oaks

What a great day with Caitlyn and Jason.  Everything turned out so nice and everyone had a great time celebrating this wonderful couple. Never before have we had a cardboard cutout of the groom at a wedding, and we’re not sure if it was Jason’s highlight from the day. :)

Mary Anne + Chris – San Marino Club

Mary Anne and Chris’ first date was at Mr. B’s and the time just got away from them. They talked for 7 hours straight, and have been enjoying life together ever since.  We love putting together our clients’ stories in motion and sound, because it is a window back to the best day of your life.

Alanna + Jeff’s Preview – Detroit Golf Club

Alanna and Jeff booked us a little bit after Alanna’s sister’s wedding last year.  We were honored to work with them all again and it is always nice to see familiar faces on once in a lifetime occasions.  We wish all the best to this wonderful couple. We hope you enjoy this Preview featuring the newlyweds! :)

Christina + Tom’s Preview – DAC

We started off the season with the most unique wedding. Some firsts for us were: paper flowers, a black wedding dress, and a non-traditional engagement ring. It was wonderful working with Kendall from A Moment in Time. Christina and Tom are a wonderful couple and we enjoyed capturing their memorable day.  After rocking with the Killer Flamingos, we high tailed it out of there so we could catch a plane to New York City.  More about that later!

We love New York!

We recently returned from our 5th annual trip to New York City with Tour Connection!  One of the most unique businesses we have ever worked with over the years. For some reason, we also seem to work with quite a few couples who live and work in the Big Apple but get married out here in Michigan.  We wish Detroit had a mass transit system like the NYC subways.  Those trains are a great way to get around! Our hotel was right next to Grand Central Station, so we were always hopping trains when we weren’t sleeping. :)

No Regrets…

We usually just post our client’s previews here on the blog, but sometimes we read something that may be of interest to those who are not sure whether ‘video’ is worth the extra cost. We’re not affiliated with this other blog (Rock My Wedding), but we have heard it over and over:  “Pictures are wonderful, and every wedding should have them, but you will be disappointed if you do not include a filmmaker.”  We used to say, ‘Get someone, get anyone!’ but not anymore…  Find a company who will work hard to tell your story, not just clips set to music. Our style has changed to where people notice us because of our included audio.  We take extra editing time to share your story, the story you will want to pass on to your children and grandchildren. Plus, you get some clips to music as a bonus! :) <jk>

Winter Blast! Carrie and Brad at Lafayette Grande

We use the winter to catch up on editing, but we love winter weddings.  Here is one of our favorites from a year ago.  Carrie and Brad were a joy to work with and definitely know how to warm things up. :)   Their relationship began with something cold, way back when they were young: Ice Cream!
